Prosthesis implant

1-Indications

Poor definition of calf due to personal characteristics. The technique involves the introduction of a prosthesis in each calf that is inserted through a small incision behind the knee and placed behind the muscle.

2-personal interview

The goal is to let the patient know the extent of this surgery and to let the doctor know the physical and psychological characteristics of the patient.
A body exam is performed to obtain a global vision of its contour.

3-tests and studies

  2. ECG
  3. Chest X-ray

4-Pre-surgery indications

  1. To eat lightly and drink no alcohol the previous night
  2. If you are on medication ask your doctor about giving them up
  3. A fastening of 8 hours
  4. To attend the clinic with an escort
  5. To bring along the post-surgery indications

5.surgery

  1. Anaesthesia:epidural or local with support
  2. Type of surgery: ambulatory
  3. Place of intervention: operating room
  4. Recovery: after the surgery the patient leaves the operating room he rests until he is fully recovered from anaesthesia

6-post surgery indications

  1. Bed rest for 48 hs
  2. Prescription: antibiotic and painkillers according to doctor’s indication
  3. General diet

7-allowed activities

Outdoor walking after the fourth day
Office work after a week

8-expectations

If the extent of the implants are understood the results meet the standards desired.
